Why RevisionX
Car audio has changed a lot, but not always for the better.
As screens have grown larger and feature lists longer, much of the character that made car audio enjoyable has been lost. Physical controls, tactile feedback and interfaces designed to feel at home in the car have increasingly been replaced by generic touchscreens. RevisionX is being developed to bring the two together.
When you want CarPlay or Android Auto, the display folds out for a full touchscreen experience. When you don’t, it retracts away to reveal a compact retro-inspired interface with physical buttons that click, sliders that glide, and a graphic equaliser to immerse you into the sound.
Customise It
RevisionX is designed to feel like part of your car, not just something installed in it. Choose a colour scheme to complement your interior and display vehicle graphics on the integrated screen, including custom artwork based on your own car.
Fitment
RevisionX is designed around a standard double-DIN head unit, allowing it to fit a wide range of vehicles from factory, and even more with the purchase of a third party double-DIN faceplate and or bracket.
The fold-out display requires clearance in front of and above the head unit, so compatibility can vary depending on the shape and position of your dashboard, vents, switches and surrounding trim.
Before ordering, we recommend checking:
- Your vehicle is compatible with a doubled-DIN head unit
- There is sufficient clearance for the screen to extend and fold out
- The screen will not interfere with vents, climate controls or other dashboard components
- Your vehicle wiring can be adapted to the ISO standard head unit harness
Detailed dimensions and a vehicle compatibility guide will be provided before production units are released.
Currently in Development
RevisionX is currently undergoing prototype development and testing. The final production specification, appearance and features may change before release.
